164 rooms
Opening in summer 2001,
the hotel has 164 rooms, including 17 suites. Dating from 1730, the building has
a colorful history and is thought to be one of the first erected in this part of
the city. Cultural and major public events, as well as revolution and war have
played their part in the building's past. The original interior was demolished,
but the unique facade has been preserved, retaining over 200 years of history.
Inside a glass dome will allow daylight into the lobby, which is two stores
high. All rooms have classical decor and air-conditioned and feature a safe,
mini-bar, satellite TV and radio, direct-dial telephones, fax and PC
connection.
