 Excursion to Kronstadt. (City tour 4 hours): Kronstadt
is a small but interesting town. It is located on island Kotlin within 30 km
distance to St.Petersburg. The square of island is about 15 km2 . The length
is 12 km, width is 2 km.
The birthday of Kronstadt is 18 May 1704 and it was founded as a military fortress.
The main sightseeing places are "damba" (construction to protect St.Petersburg
from flood), Vladimir Cathedral, Marine Cathedral, fortification protection,
Kronstadt "footschtok", Italian Palace. In harbour tourists can see
naval ships, submarines.
