The Museum holds a unique collection which belongs to the global material
culture and the war history and one of the most significant military-historical
museums in the world, possessing most valuable collections of small and cold
steel arms, banners, military uniform, battle-pieces, graphics, sculpture, awards
and insignia. The Museum collections number more than 850 thousand exhibits,
215 thousand archival files. Museum keeps collections of 27 regimental museums
of the Russian Imperial Army.
